In this lesson you will learn how to install and configure the ClickTale Plugin for WordPress on your own hosted WordPress Blog
Install the ClickTale Plugin on WordPress
Make sure you download execute the ClickTale installation from your WordPress Plugin Directory. This directory is located in your <BLOGI NSTALL DIRECTORY>/wp-content/plugins directory. You can download the latest Plugin from:
http://www.clicktale.com/Integration/ClickTaleWordpressPlugin_latest.zip
To install it from your hosting account if you have shell access would be:
Go to your WordPress Plugin Directory
1. mkdir ClickTale
2. cd ClickTale
3. wget http://www.clicktale.com/Integration/ClickTaleWordpressPlugin_latest.zip
4. unzip ClickTaleWordpressPlugin_1.7.zip
5. exit

Click on the Activate link to start the activation of the ClickTale Plugin

Configure the ClickTale Plugin

Create a new Tracking project on www.clicktale.com
This step assumes that you have a ClickTale account already created
Name your Project
Generate Custom Code to copy into your WordPress ClickTale Option page
Click on the top code and copy it to your WordPress ClickTale Options page (see below for where to paste). Click Done

Click on the bottom code and copy it to your WordPress ClickTale Options page (see below for where to paste)

Click on the Update Options button. Note: you will not get a confirmation message that your options have been saved. That is fine, you can always navigate away from the ClickTale Plugin Option page and return to double check that your settings did get accepted
