In this lesson you will learn how to configure Google’s Gmail to be your default mail client.
Go to the Google Toolbar Options
This step assumes that you have already installed the Google Toolbar and you have a Gmail account. See the previous lesson (Lesson 1) on how to install the Google Toolbar for your browser.

Enable Gmail as your Default Browser Mail Client
Select the Checkbox to “Use Gmail”
Testing
Go to a web page that has a link to send e-mail to someone. In this example we used: http://www.fishersworld.com/
You have mail
Whenever your click on a mailto: link in your web browser, Google Toolbar will launch a new window and send the e-mail with Gmail instead of your local e-mail client like Outlook.
