Glenn Brunette of Sun just released his latest presentation on the Security features of Sun Solaris 10. If you are not familiar with Sun, they are the people that run most of the major commercial/government database software on their computing platform. The presentation contains lots of practical information to secure your Solaris 10 operating system. I just got this update via twitter from Glen. Check it out now.
My wife and I travel a few times a year. I always think to myself, what if there was a tool that tracked airfares and told you when your ticket prices would be lowest? Well, I came across a tool from the new Microsoft Bing search engine (bing.com) that lets you accomplish this.
Have you ever browsed to a new website and all of a sudden, wham your browser window gets resized? Or they made modifications to your status bar or menu bars? I find these websites very annoying. Did the web designer take my feelings into consideration? I had my browser window set to the perfect size for me you moron!
Yesterday my 3-year old, Sekayi, and I, were interviewed on Channel 4 and Channel 9 regarding the historic election of President-Elect Barack Obama. Sekayi’s preschool held their own “Inaugural Ball” and they held their own “general election” in the fall. It is wonderful to see how this election has inspired even the youngest and purest of hearts. Sekayi is the handsome little boy in the beige suit.

My mom makes the most amazing Christmas cake in the world; it’s been a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember. First, she mixes up a light, fluffy, vanilla cake mix, pours it into the pans and then pops it in the oven. After it’s been baked, she stacks the cake in two layers with whipped cream spread generously between each layer. She then pours on red and green Jell-O, which gets soaked up inside the cake. Next, whipped cream is smothered all the way around for frosting. And finally, she garnishes it with red and green sprinkles. A few red and green-striped candy canes are stuck in the top as the finishing touch, and off it goes to the refrigerator so it can be served chilled later.
